Pretty sure CWT said Ward slapped the ball out of the official's hand. He's lucky he wasn't ejected.

Gotcha. I didn't see that and didn't know CWT said that. I was under the impression he was given a flag for trash talking to a Navy player.

We still beat ourselves up with bad mistakes and bad times

Fumble, Missed FGs, unsportsmanlike conduct and dropped passes...

Don't forget the chop block call on DJ that cost us. They did "make it right" by calling one on them (out of probably 20+). We did shoot ourselves when we had the chance to make the bad calls irrelevant, though.

Ok, ref, a deal's a deal, you called a "good" game...and here's your glasses back.

Just to get all semantical, CWT said the ref said Ward slapped the ball out of his hand .... at least, that's what JK's Tweet said.

The two missed pass interference calls were the worst.

Did the ref provide a link?

USF got jobbed by the refs against Rutgers in 2007. That to me was the worst officiated game

Having been at the game, it was apparently that both our opponents, the Midshipmen and the officiating crew, were formidable.  I am not talking about the penalties against us, those were probably deserved.  Instead, it was the non-calls against Navy and the consistently unfavorable ball spots given throughout the game.  It just didn't seem like an objectively called game at all to those in the stands around me.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
