Winning mindset vs. A "competing" mindset.

Holtz's language focused on being competitive.

Taggarts language focuses on winning.

Holtz liked competing, but Taggart is focused on "learning how to win".

Its been very painful, but Taggart is slowly proving that he will do what it takes to win and might just be successful.

I like kicking Louis as much as anyone but I am sure he talked about winning. He just couldn't do it when he was here.

I'm not sold that CWT is a winner yet. We need to win games we should win. Saturday is a game we should win at home.

I'm still skeptical, I'm not sure we've truly turned that corner yet. A few good games just isn't enough for me to forget that past three years of really cruddy, offensive football. I hope I can look back at that Syracuse win and say that's what did it for us.

I'll look back at this as the day USF football turned the corner:

While I destroyed the cup before the game.. I didn't dispose of the remains till after.

Perhaps that's why USF came close but lost at the end... the curse was weakened, but remnants of the curse remained until I fully disposed of them...?

Or it took 24 hrs till the curse's strength faded.  Either way.. SHOULD HAVE DONE IT SOONER!

I'm quite certain this is impossible.  The only time he ever mentioned the word "win" is when he hesitated in the middle of the word "windbreaker."

Neither Syracuse or Uconn are terrible...both avg.  Smu is terrible.

If you win a case, do you label them a "bad" attorney or applaud your winning mindset?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
