Neither Syracuse or Uconn are terrible...both avg.  Smu is terrible.

SMU has a bad record due to playing the likes of Baylor and TCU, but their offense definitely is not terrible.  If fact, it's downright good.  This game will be a decent challenge for us.

Someone brought up in a different thread that our losses have come by teams with a combined record of 14-4. All of those losses are from Maryland.

yeah... If you look at our three losses the teams are combined 14-4.  The four losses all being from Maryland.  I mean what are they 15-3 or something?  So that's out the window.  I'll also point out that Baylor and TCU don't really play defense.  So we'll see... I think we'll do well... I think we'll cover.

wow -- I just noticed how excellent the ignore feature is--- you barely see the person you are ignoring unless someone quotes them.

as for Holtz-- I wish we could simply put that whole period of time on ignore as well. And while were at it-- the last half season that Leavitt coached to sidestep that debacle.

 

as far as :"turning the corner" -- I see quite a few bright spots and things that remind me of the 2004 team that was loaded full of young guys starting. The experience paved the way for some very good seasons after that (along with picking up Andre Hall).
