Gameday updates: Weather could play factor in USF-FSU start time

 

Get ready for a rain-soaked contest in Doak Campbell Stadium, Seminoles fans!

 

Weather could cause delays for the Florida State football team's 11:30 a.m. kickoff against South Florida today, but there's been no official delay announced an hour before game time because of no apparent lightning in the area, according to Maj. Jim Russell, a spokesman for FSU police department.

 

Any official delays will be announced closer to game time.

 

The game will be televised on ESPN.

 

Rain is expected to fall in the Tallahassee area past 1 p.m. with the chance of rain dropping from 95 percent to 45 percent from noon to 1 p.m., according to the Weather Channel.
