  1. Forgive me for not sharing the same sentiment. I'd gladly trade places with Texas in both football and basketball. I'd take Top 25 in basketball and bowl eligible in football in the Big 12 any day. Looks more appealing than 7-8 in basketball and 4-8 in football in the American Anus Conference. We already lost to our version of Oklahoma in football this year and the basketball game is yet to come so it doesn't really compare, especially since Texas is laughing all the way to the bank, rolling in TV and alumni money. I guess it's embarassing for their fanbase, but I'm a lot more embarassed for ours.
  2. I checked with my wife to see if she heard anything about this at work. She heard about 2 days ago that Coach Woodie won't be returning next year. Wish I would have known sooner but she's a casual fan and didn't think to tell me. Take it for what it's worth; she's close to a member of the Woodie family through work. I'm not allowed to say more due to the confidential nature of her job but from what she tells me, it sounds like he got the BCU job. I expect I'll catch flack for not posting my source. Same thing happened when I posted that she heard Bench would be the starter for the Houston game.
  3. What's the Over/Under on how many games until CWT takes over playcalling? Will it be before or after we get new uniforms?
  4. I don't see how that would work. Either they turn around the offense which saves Taggarts job or they don't which would make them look too incompetent to be promoted to HC. The coach in waiting thing usually only works with a HC who is close to retirement or in some cases, in danger of being poached, neither of which would apply here.
  5. Simple. We park at Raymond James and the Bull Runner takes us to the stadium.
  6. And our 14 - 34 record over the past 4 years has nothing to do with the piss poor attendance?
  7. We need someone to fill the hole CSH/CWT has put us in.
  8. Would we really want to go after him? Not saying he's not a good coach, he very well may be a home run but he's had 1 year in FCS and 1 year in FBS. We've already tried the up and coming G5 coach route. I thought the prevailing notion was go after a successful P5 coordinator or poach a proven, top-notch G5 HC. Worse than that. Eleven teams have joined FBS in the last ten years: FAU, FIU, WKU, UMass, USA, TSU, UTSA, GSU (Ga St), ASU, GSU (Ga So), ODU, and Charlotte set to join next year I believe.
  9. Thanking the senior sun dolls, too. One of the lone bright spots these past four years.
  10. Even if we did reach six wins, how many USF fans would actually pay good money to go watch us rack up 5 rushing yards while getting drubbed by anyone that we'd possibly get matched up against? More importantly, what bowl would want us in the first place? We'd be guaranteed to drag down the appeal of any bowl game unfortunate enough to get stuck with us. IMO a bowl game next year doesn't mean squat unless we miraculously see an offense that works the way it was designed to. We were nowhere closer to that this year. If we make a bowl with this offense, it just means we got a few more lucky breaks. I'm tired of celebrating first downs like they were TDs. If Taggart stays another year, there needs to be marked improvement. Limping into a bowl game doesn't show that. The comments from Taggart seem to show the loser mentality that we've been trying to get away from. It says we're not aiming to field a competitive, entertaining team, we're just hoping to do enough to win six games so it looks like we improved on paper. I'm renewing my tickets next year regardless of who the coach is. That's only because I have to and I'll be damned if they get one extra cent out of me on top of that. If I could suspend my tickets rather than cancel, I would. I'm only keeping them since we've been going since day 1 and I have the hope that one day my daughter will be able to have the same kind of USF football experience that made me and the missus fall in love with the program. No more gimmicks, Willie. No more cheesy commercials, uniform changes, hype man clown shows, 30 for 30 none sense, etc. Win some **** games!
  11. Hopefully that's AD speak for "We're exploring other options but worst case scenario he's out next year unless there's a major turnaround."
  12. Going by the USF-UCF attendance thread, anywhere you want.
  13. Can someone please post a map of the campus and where the stadium would fit? Maybe use the old Orange Bowl as a model?
  14. November 11, 2011. Three years and 9.5 hours from your post. Good show.
  15. If it's worth anything, my wife works with an immediate family member of one of the coaches and indicated Bench would be the starter this week.
  16. Pittsburgh gave away fumbles on five consecutive possessions today so there's that...
  17. Why would you take out any TD? It showed up on the scoreboard just like any other TD. Might as well take away the TDs from UC that were a result of or set up by bad defensive failures and their QBs wouldn't have looked as impressive either. But football doesn't work like that. They took advantage of more opportunities than we did.
  18. I'm not worried at all. After the last few years Ive just forced myself to expect us to lose and hope to be pleasantly surprised. With that being said -- GO BULLS!!!
