  1. On the bright side, I don't think we have to worry about him going anywhere else
  2. I bet if we built an OCS things would be different. We should look into it. Agree. We should definitely pull up a map of the campus and see where it could go. Maybe we could superimpose a picture of the old orange bowl or palapa johns stadium for scale. Also, has anyone considered buying up university mall or mosi? 😄
  3. Not buying this Especially since it was posted on April Fool's Day?

  5. If history tells us anything, it's no to the first and yes for the second.
  6. Hmmm...let's see. Power plays. Innings. Wickets. Drinks. Pie. Yup. I have no idea what I'm looking at.
  7. huh? Zachary the opposite. It gives the G5 an advantage of pitching playing time if P5 enforces redshirting ALL freshmen AAC has stated they will follow the same policies that the P5 have in hopes of getting included one day. I doubt the AAC commish will let any AAC play by a different rule. have they stated it about this policy or just the one about paying athletes? It's tough to say. Aresco has said the AAC will match everything the P5 does, but it seems to have been said in regards to everything that has some kind of financial benefit (i.e. stipends, extended medical protection, etc.). This is the first thing the P5 has proposed that student-athletes may not like. I believe Aresco means to remain competitive with the things the P5 is offering for the sake of keeping up with them, not joining them, so I could definitely see him opting out of this.
  8. I agree. Our RVs are just fine. It's the bus that needs work.
  9. He'll be sorely missed. What he was able to accomplish in such a short amount of time at USF was nothing short of amazing.
  10. Look at that forest I'd have to walk to just to get to my seats!
  11. I've seen this comment a few times and I don't understand it. How did the situation improve for anybody but the P5? They're trying to break away from the NCAA to make their own rules that many of the G5 teams can't compete with. They're starting to mandate that no games will be played against G5 teams. The G5 is essentially being locked out of the playoffs. I agree that the leftover BEast teams probably got knocked down the farthest, but I wouldn't say that the situation of any non-P5 team has improved except maybe BYU.
  12. Now that he's back in the college game, I'd think he'd get an opportunity as a head coach again very shortly.
  13. I'm with you all the way. Have 3 years' worth of full-size autographed helmets that now look out of date. My favorite uniform and helmet.

  15. <Green and Gold Goggles> I won't believe it until I see the letter! It's disinformation! Maybe he didn't actually sign it! </Green and Gold Goggles>
  16. Yup. Petrino is a scumbag for sure and the situation sucks, but if he was looking to getting on-campus and proving himself right away, then go light it up at a school in desperate need of a running back. If you're going to hold out for SEC or ACC offers only, then there's a good chance he won't find a scholarship for the year anyways.
  17. You know what Colburn could do? He could reopen his recruiting and visit some more schools that have scholarships available. He could find a school that wants him and fits what he's looking for. He has 5+ months until practice to find a new school. That's what he's doing. According to the article, his high school coach is trying to help him secure an ACC or SEC offer.
  18. Where did I say I was losing sleep over the standings of our recruiting class? A member asked for information so I took a moment to answer the question. I didn't give an opinion one way or another. The rankings mean nothing anyways because a 2-star prospect can have an All-American caliber career. Unfortunately my sleeping situation will remain unchanged regardless of who Taggart signs since sleep is dictated by the teething infant in my house.
  19. 247 has us #2 in the conference (behind Cincy) and #69 nationally. The G5 schools ranked ahead of us are FAU, LA Tech, Western Mich, Boise State, San Jose State, Cincy, and BYU. http://247sports.com/Season/2015-Football/CompositeTeamRankings Rivals has us tied with UConn at #3 in the conference (behind Cincy and Temple) and #77 nationally. The G5 schools ranked ahead of us are FIU, Temple. So Miss, San Diego State, UTSA, Texas State, NIU, Marshall, Ark State, BYU, LA Tech, Western Mich, San Jose State, FAU, and Cincy., http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/teamrank/2015/all/all None of the G5 schools have cracked the Top 50 in either of the rankings.
  20. I suppose it's a good hire? He's not an established FBS coach, so it's a gamble. Some thoughts: He was a phenomenal college running back so you would thing he could coach the position. On the other hand, CWT was a phenomenal college QB and can't recruit or coach a QB to save his life (or his job, at this juncture). He has a good track record of developing running backs at the FCS level. He only has one year of experience at the FBS level and M-OH's running game was putrid last year. He jumped ship after one year at M-OH, he very well may do the same here if he pans out. Can he recruit?
  21. We hit rock bottom some time ago; we've now crashed through the crust and are falling through the mantle.
  22. Can't fault Telly. Business is business. He owes nothing to USF at this point; his paychecks are being written by Oregon State. If he can make a name for himself by landing some recruits at the expense of OSU, he's going to do it. If you transfered to another company and could poach some of your previous employer's talent to make you look better, you would do the same thing.
