People only wanted him fired because he was a terrible coach and couldn't retain players. I would have hoped the losses would have been more painful to you than the criticism of the coach.

It wasn't that the post existed that bothered me, I was fine with it, but it was just the same thread being created after every game with the same claim and same points. It just got annoying.

I say screw basketball, we'all never be consistently good and we'll never make money off of it. Go bare bones (ala TCU) and throw money at football

He'll be ok. At UF,both assistants from Billy Donovan's championship teams landed coaching gigs and failed, but life went on and they found good assistant jobs. Antiqua was just dealt a very unlucky hands. To b honest, he just started getting decent players.

His best HS recruits never made it on campus. Throughout his tenure he struggled with a short bench. No to bringing Greenberg back, we need to go with someone young to help inject some energy into this program.

Without additional information concerning Antigua's culpability in the NCAA investigation, this is incredibly, unbelievably stupid. There is no one available who can or wants to turn this program around. Thanks for making my season-tickets worthless again. It should be a lot of fun going to the games knowing every single person on that team has already packed it in. Good Times!

It was pretty evident that he had lost this team. They fired their final shot against USCe and came up short. He has no one to blame but himself. At the very least, his brother is a cheater. At worst, he is implicated as well. He couldn't retain any of our decent players and failed to recruit at a high enough level to even sniff .500 in a good, but not great conference.

They were fairly worthless prior to today's events...

Murry Bartow has 4 NCAAs, 3 NITs, 2 CITs, along with over 300 career Ws at UAB and ETSU.

he's FAR more qualified to coach USF than Orlando Antigua.

Fitts, Da Silva, Holston, Martin, Manderson, Thorpe...there is talent there for the next coach.

Is Harlan in on any of these hires? Weist, Allan or Bartow? Maybe he hedging behind the scenes?

Manderson?? Have you watched any of our games? Santos is way more impressive than him ....

Since there is supposedly a guy at UCLA who covets this job, I'm guessing the search is over before it started ..... unless Bartow performs a miracle the remainder of the season.

Antigua’s firing continues the trend of Calipari assistants not exactly flourishing as head coaches. Tony Barbee was fired after four seasons at Auburn in 2014 and Derek Kellogg has taken UMass to one NCAA tournament in nine seasons.
