I'd call this a Hail Mary, but we still haven't found anyone who can throw a football.

Bringing in Kinnan as a consultant concerns me.

I'm sure he's qualified. But the fact of the matter is throwing away the coaches you got from your best friend Jim Harbaugh and bringing in your own personal high school coach on a volunteer consulting basis strikes me as kind of a desperate move.

Coaches have been trying to get Kinnan on staff for decades.  The guy can flat out coach.  He certainly will only help.  He wont get to interact with players on the practice fields, but he can observe practices and gives the coaches additional insights as well as watch game and scrimmage tapes.  If anything it should really bring more cohesion to our game-plans with someone dedicated to that activity without having to coach up the players.

No offense but no ****, Sherlock! Desperate times call for desperate measures. Pretty sure that CWT understands what's at stake this year and also understands that these last two years were pretty much train wrecks and status quo wasn't going to cut it ..... and even though it would be the psychopath's wet dream, CWT, like any true competitor, wasn't falling on his own sword.

It all depends on your perspective. Our O, no matter who it's been under usually underachieved. I am actually impressed that CWT is not taking the status quo and adjust his game plan to what works here at USF. I think coach K is a great addition and will be paid as the season approaches. He has already states he's not doing it for free...

If we've gone this far with him, I hope we can keep him on the payroll for the whole season.
