Laughing stock of football

No way.  I can think of several teams that are more of a laughing stock.  The Bears, Jets, Raiders ... those guys have it way worse than the Bucs.

I thought he was referring to the Raiders?

He might have been.  I thought the conversation was more about the Bucs.

because Publix itself was a #1 overall draft pick and continues to improve in performance year after year.  It's not a football place, and could never, and I do mean NEVER, be considered a laughing stock.

Mariota is the only reasonable pick as the #1 QB off the board.  Jameis is a Johnny Maziel type risk.

Close, but only for potential off the field behavior.  Manziel can't play AND is a risk off the field.  Jameis is a freaking wizard on the gridiron.

I was referring to the Raiders. Good for Tampa. Until their ownership changes they aren't going anywhere. Chicago is better than Oakland. Jets though are a mess but at least they went to a few AFC championship games. . They all need Publix to make them better and perhaps as part of their pregame meal.

Except when he's throwing interceptions... ;)

Mariota is the better pick IMO.

After this season I wouldn't quite call him a wizard, but he's no where near the risk Manziel presents.

I said it in the other thread, the Rose Bowl is gonna be huge for the draft.

27-0 and as many 4th qtr comebacks as he's engineered and not a wizard? All with a bunch of talent missing from last years better team?

Ok.

Your point about the Rose Bowl being huge for the draft is dead on, though. Certainly the most important game of the season for next level eval.
