Mariota is the only reasonable pick as the #1 QB off the board.  Jameis is a Johnny Maziel type risk.

jameis is big and strong and hasnt lost a game

manziel has bust written all over him and plays small

different qbs and different personalities

Jameis is a Johnny Maziel type risk.

Close, but only for potential off the field behavior.  Manziel can't play AND is a risk off the field.  Jameis is a freaking wizard on the gridiron.

After this season I wouldn't quite call him a wizard, but he's no where near the risk Manziel presents.

I said it in the other thread, the Rose Bowl is gonna be huge for the draft.

27-0 and as many 4th qtr comebacks as he's engineered and not a wizard? All with a bunch of talent missing from last years better team?

Ok.

Your point about the Rose Bowl being huge for the draft is dead on, though. Certainly the most important game of the season for next level eval.

If you're just saying he's a wizard on his ability to win college games, then you are correct.

However, record aside, you can't ignore the current flaws in his game. His inability to consistenly pick up interior pressure and underneath zone coverage has helped lead to his 17 picks. I still think he's the best pick and that he'll be a franchise QB for years to come.

Mariota is a product of the offensive system he is in.  The Bucs have no system, so he would be a failure for the Bucs.

Jameis is the man, and could succeed in the Bucs lack of everything offensive system.

However the Bucs are incompetent, Lovie Smith is a freaking moron, and most likely these dolts will draft a defensive end or offensive tackle with the number one draft pick.  Then Lovie will sign Jay Cutler off free agency and say that he is the quarterback of the future.

Give it up Bucs fans.  It is time to start rooting for another team.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
