I wouldn't be able to handle watching a triple option offense every week. Reminds me way too much of high school football. If it works the way GT got it to work this year then fine, but if we're going 7-6 (2013), 7-7 (2012), 8-5 (2011), or 6-7 (2010) running that crap then I'm losing my mind ....

Winston is way more NFL ready than Mariota. He will mature, too. Kid just wins.

Their defenses practice against this offense, which means when it comes game time against spread and pro offenses, they give up huge passing yards.  The offensive numbers were fine for those years but the defense always struggles because they don't practice regularly against a 1st team high-powered offense. Georgia Tech's never had great defenses during the triple option years.  So the moral to that story is..........practice against crappy offenses with crappy offensive schemes (Willie?) and you'll end up with crappy defenses.  A team will never be truly successful with marginal and less defenses.  Makes sense......no?

I've got to say, I don't enjoy watching it but...

With Flowers, Mack, Johnson and Swanson- I sure as heck seems like we could run it pretty effectively

 

LOL I said that loooooong ago my friend. Would have be a little more interesting to end the year watching.
