Before the game I thought we had to beat Cincy OR Houston to make a bowl game. That still stands but Houston is going to be very, very tough.

There is a chance, I still think we beat SMU. I'm dubious about 2 out of 3 against Houston, UCF and Memphis. Houston is really a must win to keep bowl hopes alive.

 

Worst case, we play UCF at home last game of the season with nothing to play for and UCF playing a meaningful game. It could make the ugliness and frustration of the Cinci game seem tame.

UCF will be our bowl game.

 

Hopefully we win it, but I'm not optimistic

We beat SMU and steal another one along the way.  I think we finish 5-7.  If we're super lucky maybe we can get to 6-6, but I don't think so.

I don't think the AAC has enough tie-ins for a bad 6-6 team to make a bowl game.

Oh I know that we can still get to 6 wins, but I am utterly baffled at the dismal performance still. Willie has had 20 games and 2 offseasons and we should not have looked so hopeless last night. And still no word from him on what happened.

Even if we get to 6 wins how is that an accomplishment, in what is now the new Conference USA, half of these teams are ranked in the bottom 30 of D1
