Why don't we have our games at 5pm or 6pm wouldn't that be an ideal time so people don't have to stand in the heat or leave at 12? At that time it will be sunny with a nice cool breeze (usually, if it's not raining).

This brings up a good point.  I've often thought about why the networks have settled on noon, 3:30 and night prime time.  Why not stagger the games for TV?  Have start times of noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, etc.  Even Disney who probably controls 80% of kickoff times dictates noon, 3:30 and evening.  I don't get what the advantage is to having every televised game start at the same time.

USF Homecoming Clash With No. 22 ECU Set for 7

Bulls and Pirates to play on ESPNU

TAMPA, SEPT. 29, 2014 – USF Football’s homecoming clash on Saturday, Oct. 11 with a ranked East Carolina team has been set for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU.

USF (2-3; 1-0 American) has a bye week after an upset bid at No. 19 Wisconsin in which USF had the game tied at 3 at halftime and was within a touchdown until just over a minute remained in the third quarter before falling, 27-10.

ECU (3-1; 0-0 American) enters the week ranked No. 22 in the Associated Press Poll with its only loss coming 33-23 at No. 21 South Carolina. The Pirates are averaging 43.3 points per game and open American Athletic Conference play Saturday by hosting an 0-4 SMU team.

The Bulls and Pirates will be meeting for the fifth time overall and second as conference foes. USF holds a 4-0 lead in the series after posting a 24-7 win in the last meeting at the 2006 PapaJohns.com Bowl in Birmingham, Ala. This will be ECU’s first trip to Tampa since falling 41-17 in 2004 when both programs were members of Conference USA. The Bulls moved to the BIG EAST the following season. This is ECU’s first season in the American Athletic Conference.

The USF Football program is in its 18th season and 15th at the FBS level. The Bulls have made six bowl appearances, including every season between 2005-10, and have four bowl game victories. USF has produced 14 All-America selections, 23 NFL Draft picks and reached the No. 2 ranking in the Associated Press Poll in 2007.

USF football season ticket renewals are available. Members may renew their tickets today online, by calling 1-800-GoBulls, or in person at the Ticket Sales and Service Center in the Sun Dome administrative offices (Gate B).

Unless they are offering an "early renewal" this is WAY to little early to be asking    "USF football season ticket renewals are available...."

I feel that 7 pm games are better. I'm not being pompous. I prefer to watch live football in the evening in Florida. I find it more enjoyable. This is entertainment after all and the only thing at stake is being affiliated with a winning team. I guess to some people that make s them winners themselves. I guess lately anyone who feels that way has pretty much been a loser...

We should be allowed to have a preference without being labeled as self centered fans. If someone here wants us to play games against purple pirates at 3:30 because that makes the game more important to the rest of the world then good for them. They are great fans...I guess.

I go to games because I enjoy watching them, I want my team to win and I enjoy pregame gatherings and libations. 7pm just brings more favorable temperatures and less sun in my eyes at the game so I prefer it.

Nice try.  Nope.  You're a pompous, arrogant fan if you prefer anything but noon or 3:30 games on Saturday.

:D

We are far from pompous and arrogant. We've done quite a bit to include the great unwashed in these Saturday events. I know that the Robinsons have, on numerous occasions, given the entire staff the evening off for USF games and have more than once doled out bus passes so they can get home in time to huddle around the radio and listen to the games themselves. Besides , it's so much easier on Flacco to wait outside the car, in the cool of the evening, than it is during the heat of the day. Don't want the driver to be overly sweaty for the ride home. And I can attest that Bull Tiger is equally generous with the nanny - allowing her to mind the young heir to the Tiger fortune from the comfort of the club, rather than the concourse. Far, indeed, from pompous and arrogant. Now, bring the car around front.

I'm guessing they're targeting LAST year's season ticket holders who have yet to renew for this year...

With only 3 more games, and the non renewed seats being made available, I'm thinking that's not it ....

Nice, Wooly.

Just for that I am going to shotgun one additional royal beer in your honor. That may be the one I loose on the row in front of me.

That is if I'm not hob nobbing in the club with all of the pompous douche bags.

Well, better the pompous douche bags than the illiterate, inbred, knuckle-dragging, fifth-grade-was-my-senior-year, you-gonna-finish-that douche bags.

There is, after all, a finite number of seats in the lifeboat - and fate dictates that someone will get wet.
