It's not bad by any means. Not going to get me excited though. Northern Illinois should not be considered a "test". That's just miserable. Considered a game that could be close? Sure, but a "test"?

And how about the FSU game that year? I agree NIU isn't a huge powerhouse but we need a balanced schedule. FSU, Cuse, NIU, and a FCS that year is fine.

I think we need to get as many P5 schools on the schedule as we can ASAP. The time is going to come when the Haves say no more scheduling the Have Nots. I would fully expect existing agreements would be honored but no new agreements made. We must get these games scheduled as quickly as possible or all we will have for OOC opponents will be MAC and CUSA scrubs.

In case you missed it... we played a Big Ten and ACC school this year with plenty of tickets available.

People don't come to watch the opponents... they come to watch USF win.  We could play Bob's College, but if we're in the Top 25, we'll fill the lower bowl and then some.

Definitely had to google the location.

http://m.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Things+To+Do&find_loc=DeKalb%2C+IL

An old arcade tops the list of things to do. DeKalb IL woohoo. . . sigh

I used to live close by....it's literally a town in the middle of corn fields.  A big "0" things to do besides little bars, restaurants and a golf course on the outskirts.

Here's the 2 highlights:

  1)   http://www.yelp.com/biz/burritoville-dekalb

  2)   http://www.yelp.com/biz/ollies-frozen-custard-sycamore

If your planning the trip I'd just stay in Chicago/Oak Brook and drive in on I-88 or you could stay in Rockford.

I think we should focus on beatable teams, NIU is certainly beatable but then again I thought NCST (who is coached by the ex-NIU coach Dave Doeren) was but look what they did to us.
