Really?  unless it is built at the dorms, seems these students do not even want to walk to the bus stop for the free ride to the game.  If you cannot get alumni to go to the epicenter of the city what makes you think they will drive down Fowler?

Remember back in the day say maybe 20k would show up for a game and a group of students would run around the lower bowl sectiong of the stadium, like a giant conga line. Yeah I do too what ever happened to that semi-tradition? But umm back on topic we need to stop playing at rayjays house.

Then we might as well play at the soccer stadium.  What are you going to build a 40K stadium?  You cannot have an easier college football experience than RayJay, with parking, street traffic, concessions, club, etc.  They are cheap tickets, and you will not have that at an OCS.  you will park at the sundome and walk down to Fowler and BBD.  The stadium will hold less, higher ticket prices, no club level.  etc.

Agreed it is being good sports - but only when you are so much better than your opponent. No way their fan base is applauding our TD if the score is 14-7!

I think we're down to the bone. The only people showing up now are the hardcore, in it to the bitter end fans. For this year, anyway. That's not to say that another losing season won't ratchet down season ticket sales even farther, but we're inching towards conference play (and we all know what we think of this conference) so marketing those games may be an uphill task as well. 

 

Harlan was right, however. Once the Mega Media Room project kicks off, it will compete - head to head - with the decision to renew season tickets. If - just if - it's no longer fun and entertaining, season tickets may not get line item status on the household budget.
