Very well could be.  I know USF and GT were talking about setting something up a year or two ago.

That game(s) would make me VERY Happy........................

I've been to a few GT games. Fans/students are pretty cool, and not to dis the RayJay but a game at Bobby Dodd in the fall with the ATL as the background is spectacular! Seeing USF win there would personally be dream stuff.

Of course we are all assuming paul johnson is still the coach there. Hes been there a while now and started nicely but hasnt been very successful since.

If they ever do decide to fire him, it would take YEARS to get the team back to a respectably playing level.  Trying to convert to a more regularly run offense from the triple option would be a nightmare for pretty much any coach.

If they fire PJ, they had better be prepared for a huge rebuilding job.

Please no ... Why play a mid tier P5, triple option team with a poor traveling fan base?

We've been a mid tier to bottom dwelling Big East team/AAC team with a poor travelling fan base, and a trip to Atlanta may prompt some Tampa people to drive up there. Atlanta metro has a lot of USF graduates. The Tampa Bay area has quite a few Tech graduates. It looks like a win-win for two metropolitan based universities with poor travelling fan bases to play. There are likely enough graduates of the other school in each metro area to make this game make financial sense.

I would agree if we were playing UGA.  GA Tech didn't even travel well to their own conference championship game a few years back.

This game has about the same appeal as playing Indiana in the GA Dome, with the exception of trying to prepare the defense for an unconventional offense.  To me it sounds like the excitement is about playing in Atlanta.  Nobody outside of our two schools will care ...

At this point ANY if not MOST OOC games scheduled against a "Power 5 School"  is/ should be a good thing for us.

Only so many OOC games a year and a lot of schools are looking at only scheduling within the Power 5.    Ga Tech is winnable and even though they may not Stick out like FSU or a Bama, they still have Name recognition, and conference affiliation.  Much better than scheduling Conf USA or MAC teams.

Would be nice to finally go to a game. Been living in ATL for 17 years and have never had the opportunity.

Never been to the Flats?

Should just go one night for the hell of it. You can probably get a cheap ticket even when they go into ACC play. It's pretty cool.

I did got to the Flats once about a dozen years or so ago... don't even recall who they played but it was fun. I should take my boy there now, he's still young but I wager its where he'll end up with the GA Hope if he does not go out of state.

I've never been to a Bulls game and have not been back to Tampa since we moved. Overdue, and a shame, but is what is. A local game? I'm there.

My eldest son got his undergrad at USF and his post grad at Maryland. He was wildly cheering for USF. When I asked why he said: USF was a blast. Single guy on campus. Graduate drgree he was married and Maryland was not as much fun.

I did my undergrad at USF and Graduate degree at Ga Tech. Same situation as my son. Therefore....... Go Bulls.........

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
