I was leaving Cigar City Brewing in Northdale when I spotted a personalized USF license plate next to mine.  The owner happened to be coming out and when I made a comment about it, I found out that it was no other than __Eats_It.  He has his hands full with his little ones, which is why he hasn't been around much, but sends his regards.

_Eats_It's wife was my son's 3rd grade teacher.  He's a senior now at Plant High and getting himself ready to be a college student.  It's a very small world we live in gentlemen.

Small world indeed. I was recently up in Danbury CT for a wedding and someone (who happened to be up from Naples) noticed my dad and I wearing Bulls shirts and she exclaimed USF!?

Why would anyone leave Cigar City?

Because they are overrated. Good beer and all but I am over them, too much of a show now. I do not like fighting hoarders and traders just to get a decent beer. 7th sun, best brewery in the bay. Not to mention I now have 6 breweries within walking distance/short cab ride of my house, let alone the plethora of awesome craft beer bars downtown. I love that we have such an awesome beer presence right now.

Agree, CCB was great a couple years ago...now? It's ridiculous. The hipsters and beer hoarders have invaded it. CCB charges lofty prices for their rare 750ml releases, heck even their regular brews have gone up in price.

I can have just as much fun walking into total wine and picking up some bombers for $5-8 a piece and try beers I've never had before.

Yep - cause that means MY wife was your son's librarian in elementary school!

The worst is when we go to restaurants and have 20-something servers and hosts/hostesses remind my wife that they went to her elementary school.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
