We are still assuming the UCF game remains a black Friday game. My guess is though it will only be a small dent in football. Most people have a strong favoritism to football (myself included). I think it will hurt the attendance of the MBB event more. Hopefully they pick up the causal basketball fans in Miami.

What would be fun is if they schedule it so you can go to both. Football game @ noon and Bball game @ 9p would give plenty of time to go to both.

Im trying to understand what the following quotes mean:

 

The format of the event is that each host school will play three home games in addition to one neutral site contest.

 

 

and

 

 

It will be scheduled as two separate events in order for South Florida and Memphis -- which are both in the AAC -- to participate.

 

 

The first quote may mean it's set up like the Las Vegas tourney last year .... which means more teams will be involved.

 

No idea what second one means unless there;s something about conference mates aren't allowed to play each other outside conference play ...

Only we could manage to score a premier basketball game and then put it on the same day as our top home football game.

USF doing USF things...

 

Doubt USF did much of anything in the way of setting this up other than saying "yes" ...

And provide some tour busses to go from the Wok to Miami and back. Only have to drive to Orlando to take in BOTH games. (Or maybe even start at USF's campus.)

Again, this only means more TV exposure for us. basically no matter how you slice it.
