Best of luck to him, but he never lived up to what he could've been on paper. He seemed very raw and green and just never seemed to look like he belonged on the court, at least in D1. Hopefully he can get his education and maybe find somewhere to play where he can compete.

From all accounts, he's one of the nicest people you ever met.

Hopefully he gets a chance to finish his degree - if another school doesn't pick up his eligibility, I really hope USF offers him free books and tuition to graduation. It's the least we can do.

It's unlikely he'll ever play more than pickup ball, but with a degree, I'm sure he will do fine in life.

I'm always for having people who want to be here

I don't think it's a matter of Omobehin wanting to be elsewhere. It's entirely possible that he doesn't fit into the new staff's style of play, and he was informed of this very directly.

Coach O loved the kid but it was prolly obvious to Jordan that he wasn't going to fit in and get any PT.  All the effort in the world doesn't matter if you don't have the skills.

In reviewing the Basketball Roster on Gousfbulls.com, I noticed that C Jordan Omogbehin is no longer listed. Did he transfer also?

Yes, they said it was mutual decision by all. Dont think he fit in Coach O's style of play.

We now have two open schollies, plus whoever graduates between now and Fall 2015, right?

Yep. Unless AC gets a redshirt, we'll have 4 schollies for 2015, if nobody else is added.

Coach O is getting to mold this team the way he wants right out of the chute. Think we will see some big changes quickly.
