We really seem to be a small-ball team that relies on manufacturing and we've left a lot of baserunners stranded.  Our pitching has really been solid, but it would really be nice to see some power hitting to round things out.

Every sport for USF is the same. Great defense (pitching), no offense.

You guys crack me up. I know it is hard in this day and age of USF athletics to stay positive BUT we are 4-0 (That is crazy for any USF squad except maybe mens tennis) ......We actually we are hitting .333 as a team and averaging over 7 runs a game so far.  UMMMMMM I would take that for a season average all day long. Our pitching has been lights out 1.00 ERA........... our defense has actually been struggling with 7 errors in 4 games.  Again 4-0 with a 3 game set against Penn St. Come out eat some peanuts and drink a few $7 beers

I re-read my post and it did come off as slightly negative, which wasn't intentional.  Run manufacturing is a good thing and I meant to say that we also need some power hitting to complement that.  I did see where we hit a couple of triples against FGCU, which is a great sign.

 

I'm looking forward to making a game or two against Penn St.
