Just one question I have about IFP ... was it ever called on a team before USF-Rutgers?  Has it been called since, to the best of anyone's knowledge?

Actually saw something very similar called within the last two weeks but couldn't tell you if it was college or pro ...

That one was pretty blatant though. The D Lineman full on slapped it downfield. I remember watching that IFP game and thinking that the Rutgers kid knocked it loose again from USF. That let us scoop and score. Until, while you know, the flag came out.

Conference call with whoever is in charge of AAC officiating, CWT, Director of USF football operations, and an official from the AAC over the inconsistencies of penalty calling late in last night's game. When the booth announcers and ESPN studio crew are calling it out you have a problem.

He was on the phone minutes after seeing the replay. I have no idea with whom but he was pissed.

I'm sure the calls will get sent to the league office.  And I'm sure there are much worse calls than that every year.  Those were not especially egregious, nowhere near Illegal Forward Propulsion.

This is beyond a call. This brings into question, should the refs be deciding who wins games.

I get the anger, but what is the end result you're looking for?

Who cares if he called. Bad calls work themselves out. We get one this season or next. It always balances out. Even if he did call what good does it do?
