I was worried after maikon left as well, glad we were able to reload at least 1 position.

Good story so far, I'll leave it at that. Let's not pump him up too much for having 2-3 good games.

2-3 good games? We've played 6 games and he hasn't kicked a fg in 2 of them. In the other 4 games his long is 49, 50, 52, 47. Not to mention his good kickoffs and he is perfect on pat's

I'm trying to under-appreciate him to balance this sunshine & rainbows stuff. He's been great, but it wasn't always so for him--like MikeG said, please let's not jinx a good thing.

It's bad mojo to congratulate a player now? ****, how far we have sunken.

I know it's not like butterflies coming out of my mouth, but I'd hardly call that "sunken". Making mountain of mole hill.

He was ignored....in my opinion by the scouts.Kickoffs were great with Marvin. He usually put it through the uprights...routinely.  Playing for a so so HS Football program did not help.

His Dad was a darn good Pro soccer player.....it was fun t watch his Dad when he kicked. His dad was usually a lot more nervous. He was a great find...and I am glad that he has kept his nose clean at USF after his little hiccup. He is a good young man.

what hiccup?

What suspense? Whether his 30 yard fg would be shanked left or right? Whether his punt might clear the line of scrimmage?  Whether or not we would lose the game because our kicker missed 4 fg's and we  would lose by 1 point? There was no suspense.....only Alvarado

If he's the prospect I'm remembering,  he did have some legal issues come up during his senior year of high school, but I don't remember if it was dismissed or he was just given a slap on the wrist.
