back to back games were eveld throws a perfect TD pass and the receiver drops it.  These guys got their work cut out for them in practice Coach Reaves better make sure of it.

The defense is winning games. We might get 3 more this year if Bench can be better than terrible.

I hate a conservative play call in that situation.... play to win. 1st down and that game is over now Uconn gets the ball.

??? We pinned them inside the 5 with 1:46 for a horrible offense?? Bet on our D.

It worked out... I didn't say it didn't. I said I don't like a conservative play call in that situation. When you do that you're playing "not to lose" instead of playing "to win".

No, it's keeping the ball out of the hands of the team's biggest weakness and in the hands of the opponent's biggest weakness. You want a horrible, HORRIBLE offense to have the ball instead of a defense that dominated UConn in the second half, for what? To prove what exactly? What was less likely, that UConn would drive 60 to 70 yards to get in field goal range in less than two minutes, or USF failing getting a first down there? The answer is, UConn scoring was less likely, thus that is the choice you have to go with.

And that run was the 100% right call. They couldn't move the ball on the air any better than us. Eveld is liable to be sacked or picked if we drop back.

Lets enjoy another 2 weeks on first place!

kind of weird hearing the no-nothing announcer blame the drop on the fact that the guy just came off the bench like he never played before or something. That was to Bravo-Brown-- a guy who has had plenty of experience. Can't believe he didn't catch that pass.

thank god we have a kicker with ice water in his veins.

As many conference wins as we had the last 2 years combined. And 1 win short of last year's debacle.

Or that UConn and Cincinnati have both also gotten much worse.

The defense was soft in most of the first half but played hard in the second half. Offense made a couple of good plays but couldn't finish a drive. Way too many mistakes. Good to have a win. I'm not writing us off yet, especially if we can get Shaw and/or Bench back at some point. We need this bye week bad, though to work on some major issue.

defense played their gaps like crap first half. much better discipline in the 2nd. we are getting a lot of young guys valuable experience which will help in the coming years.
