Weed out the guys who aren't going to put forth effort needed.

Find out whether Bench is the QB for next year.

TEACH!!!! We have a low football IQ as a team right now.

Make sure everyone is studying, they're going to their degrees.

Keep doing what you're doing.

Start Bench... and find ways to slow down the pass rush. When he has time, he can do well.

On Defense, shake some things up.

From what I can see, the issues are less about the system than they are about execution.  Once these guys learn to trust the system and stop trying to do everything themselves, they will win.

1. Fat boys up front...the speed thing ain't panning out. Maybe when you've got a fine-tuned, hitting on all cylinders, custom ALL pieces in place offense, then you can go for lighter and faster. Until then, grande boys who opted for football since the sumo program was axed due to title IX.

2. JUCO...nothing wrong with that.

3. Shoot for a goal of one penalty per quarter (which would be down from tonight's count).  B)

We are in a similar situation to where Stan Heath started with basketball. All the coach can do is to continue to develop the players while he works to bring in players that best fit his system. While there are all kinds of questions concerning the abilities of the current players their biggest problem is that they still don't fully know the new systems. Even as bad as things look this team can take some quantum leaps by just learning to better execute the system. While it may be a reach, there is still hope of finding a W or a couple W's.

Oh and just to be clear, Stan has not yet arrived. While things are certainly looking up let's see if he can do something with the seemingly nice talent he has been able to land and sustain it for more than one "flash in the pan" season.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
