Taggart is a great recruiter and that should be his role. Not a HC. Walt Wells and our O-line are both terrible

Still can't believe people are judging CWT's capabilities as HC after three games here. Gimme a break.

Agreed. The man doesn't even have the personnel to properly run his system. Bill Bellichick couldn't win games with Floyd or Eveld. Holtz left the cabinet pretty bare.

Let's just give Taggart one season to figure things out.

QBs have given more pick sixes than thrown TDs. OL cant block four rushers. WRs cant catch for a dang. The D can't stop giving up first downs on pens. This team needs personnel. IDK if CWT can do this. It will be a monumental task to get to a bowl in the next three seasons.

The talent on this team is a joke, but we are better than McNeese State and FAU. Coaching staff has done a putrid job.

I wish I thought we were, but it seems inescapable that we are NOT better than either of them.  We lost, and neither were fluke losses or even close games.  We need to face the truth here:  We are worse than McNeese State and FAU.  That's a long, long way to fall in four years.

The question I have is whether CWT can keep the recruiting up. The freshmen that have played have done well, not sensational, but better than you would expect out of freshmen. As they gain experience play will improve - slowly. There is also the advantage that we play in the AAC, it would not require a tremendous effort to improve quickly in this conference. IF CWT can continue to develop the freshmen and continue to recruit good talent then USF will improve quickly, if not then it will take a long time. Remember that CWT stated that he was shocked at the level of talent, we thought he meant good talent, he was being kind about bad talent.

Just as a point of comparison I think the coach who should not be named took this team down further than McCallum did the basketball team and it will take as much effort to get it going again. The biggest advantage is that CWT is a very good recruiter and has over 40 scholarships in his first two years for recruiting which means he can improve the talent much more quickly.

Sorry but holtz left CWT with a dumpster fire of a program.  Not a shock this team blows.

Really? He took an awful WKU team that went 0-12 in his first season and took them to 2 straight bowls. Skip Holtz took a team that was consistently winning 7 and 8 games a year and made us one of the worst in the country. Give Taggart some time. You guys are a bit over the top

To be accurate, WKU went 2-10 his first year ... Was 0-12 the year before he came there ... and they only went to one bowl, his last year there.

That is a horribly inaccurate comparison ...

To add to the accuracy check:

WKU were bowl eligible his 2nd year at 7-5, but were passed over.  The ONLY FBS team with a winning record not selected to a bowl...  teams that finished 6-6 were selected over WKU

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
