Most in Critical Care/ ER /ICU's/Cardiac Cant tell you how many times Ive been bitten, Punched, kicked, spit on pinched, you name it. Comes with the job unfort. Not saying what Trex did is acceptable or should be dismissed, but this chit happens daily , just not reported or put in the news. Nor are the Patients arrested and charged. I was working the 3p-3a in the ER one night; had a patient fake a seizure and broke my hand. Hospital pressed charges and the guy spent 2 years locked up for that and a drug charge

Police say they found him passed out at wheel of running car in drive, facing wrong way on street. Arrest report says he was being evaluated by Tampa Fire Rescue when he got agitated. After my freshman year at USF I went back to my where I grew up and worked the summer as a security guard. I had to deal with a guy who was so drunk that he passed out at the stop light leaving the neighborhood I was working, face first into his horn, and it didn't wake him up. Fun times.

Not saying he wasn't trashed or Chit faced, But he could have had a medical condition as well We don't know the WHOLE story. Skin Isn't it fun working in the ER, Never a dull moment. Esp fun when the you have to put patients in 4 point restraints or have a police officer stand beside the bed so you can render Care (NOT!). Not only have most who work in the field been assaulted with violence, the spitting, the yelling, the urine, and other Bodily fluids thrown at you, Makes for a Great job. This EMT needs to get tuff and not take it so personally, If they (he/she) never actually got bit, Suck it up. Next time be on the look out and be prepared, Expect the unexpected. Ask ANYONE who has ever worked on the front line or in Critical Care or Psy and they will tell you some Horror stories. Too many here to list them all. I'm glad they put that last statement in parantheses - I really thought for a minute the EMT wanted to be bitten.

I lost IQ points every time he opened his mouth. So much talent wasted on a buffoon. Edited August 20, 2013 by deters-
