keep in mind that Mike Ford had one of the best youtube reels in the history of high school highlight tapes.

 

in high school you can stand out on pretty much natural ability.  once you take this next step everyone has that ability and it is matter of skill + hard work + focus.

 

i hope he puts it all together.  we need a standout playmaker at RB in Coach T's offense

 

Agree completely on all counts. I just think we have someone who, for whatever reason, was underrated during the recruiting process - at least according to my untrained eyes.  It does appear that he is doing the right things since Taggart has mentioned his name positively multiple times.

Tried to figure out why, and all I can come up with is he's trying to break the tape with his chest instead of his nose. Do they still teach that in track?

He was underrated bc he was up against lots of great Miami area RBs like Cook, Yearby, Collins, etc who stole the limelight

If he's as good as Ford turned out, I'd be plenty happy! Of course, consistency would be nice...hoping our RB corps grows up quickly!

Mike Ford was pretty darn good though...for the limited time he was here.

Yes.  Ford was a beast.  Go back and look at the highlights from some of those 2007 games.  Sometimes I forget how much he contributed to some of our signature wins.

 

 

+1 -- He basically won the International Bowl for us once our brilliant coaching staff decided to give him the ball in the second half.
