Good, but late, decision.

Best of luck.

Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman2m

Moffett said Montgomery will transfer to another I-A school: "He wants a fresh start. Things weren't necessarily working for him there."

Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman1m

Moffett said Montgomery wasn't upset with coaches or scheme at USF, just didn't like his fit. Stuck around in spring trying to make it work.

Hmmm .... Forgot about who his coaches were. Wouldn't be surprised to see him a Kanigit.

This guy proved nothing on the field or too his teammates...

His measurables are insignificant... What did he do with them? Nothing.., I'm not going to cry over this guy, but I'll support the kids on the field trying to make us winners in 2013

You dip out 19 days before the season opener? That is weaksauce.

I can understand we are going to be using a 2 TE

scheme a lot and receivers won't be getting the deep ball as often, but that's just BS. You don't see Andre Davis going anywhere.

Something tells me that the nice Coach T we see in public, is not so nice on the field. Maybe these kids can't handle that after the rainbows and sunshine Holtz provided.

And just some food for thought on his replacement: When Lamar Robbins announced on NSD, he said Coach T plans to use him on both sides of the ball....could this be happening already? What say you GA

I have been expecting some real turnover since guys got a load of Taggs work ethic. Can't say I'm happy to see D'Vo go, but i am sure he won't be the last. Some guys have gotten into bad habits the last couple of years and aren't going to adjust to this brand of football well. Better to go ahead and bite the bullet now and leave room for some incoming talent that will buy into a workmanlike ethic. Not blaming guys who leave, but like Taggs said, "if they don't want to be here, we don't want em here"

USF won't approve transfer to UCF. Bank on that.

Spoke to him and Sterling during Spring open practice on campus. I'm shocked we have lost both of them. Prior to this offseason, I thought we were loaded at WR. Like 206 said, we are getting thin.

Who else did you talk to?!?!  You should have talked to Skip earlier

Haha!

All I was trying to get at, was that I was shocked both were leaving on their own accord.

@gregauman: @devilray05 I don't imagine USF would release Montgomery to any school in the American or opponents on upcoming schedules. Fairly standard.

This is a definite blow to the WR corps but if the kid isn't happy he needs to find some place where he can be. Best of luck to him.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
