I know we're mad, but what is our argument when we call?

Don't think anyone said anything about "mad"    Called to voice concern and hope they consider the AAC as one of their conferences when signing their new contract.

Used the Sandwich approach,  (bread, meat bread)  Said how great the bowl was, the history, being one of the oldest bowls still in operation,  voiced disappointment if the rumors were true and not being considered or included, closed with pointing to the AAC/ BE/ CONF USA teams record in the bowl game and the attendance figures.

The AAC will be an alternate in the game should there not be enough big 12 teams

There are too many bowls. Practically every state and city has one.

So, now that we're second tier - and in all likelihood those being the bowls we might see - would you prefer that they cut back? As it is now, almost half 1A schools play post season (just look at those hoping for a 6-6 bowl eligibility...a 500% record....just be average!). Since it's stopped being a reward for your effort, I honestly don't watch but a handful. Hard to get enthusiastic about the big BYU x SDSU matchup.

About the only good thing I can say for 90% of the bowls anymore is it gives you extra practice time with the players.

Oh, and when we're in one, it give us one more shot to watch our Bulls play.

But, there should be no 6-6 or 7-6 teams in bowls. 7-5 or 8-5 should be the minimum. Even if you lose the bowl, you need to end the season with a winning record, or you can't go to a bowl, IMO
