We aren't Stanford. We are in Florida where the number of big brick wall OLmen is limited but you have a lot of speed and skill guys. Can we win with a power running game? Or are we better off with airing it out? Time will tell.

Keeping plays short and quick; that can help the QB (only if he is able to take the snap) and keep the D on their toes a bit. It will be similar to how Louisville used Bridgewater his FR year against a lot of teams, run the ball and play good D. One of my concerns is our kicking game, we are going out there with an inexperienced kicker in a time we may need as many points as possible. He was okay, not a superstar. In true smazza fashion, I'm pretty sure he meant to say "without" a good qb. I actually understood him "with" or "without". I was just making the point that Mcelroy was not a standout QB. Yes he is in the NFL but he did not doing anything spectacular in college. He was a game manager. Defense and Running led Alabama to championships. Maybe I should do some more research but I dont see Saban going after a lot of 5 star QBs. He is fine with a 3 star (depending on the website). We will physically wear teams down. The two freshmen coming in are huge and will beat up the opposing team... I see us playing close the first three qtrs and then breaking loose on some long runs in the fourth. If we can't keep it close or keep the ball for any amount of time in the first 3 qtrs we lose... Just my thought process with seeing what we got coming in and the clips of Taggart's offense from WKU. Hope you're right, but this is 180 degrees fro what we've done the last 3 years. You're putting a lot of faith in the S&C Coach and a change of culture. YMTGE! Oh I have no idea if it will be successful... Just think its what we're going to look like until we get a legitimate QB under snap, blow out losses or close wins due to our grind it out style. Not sure if we can get behind by too much this year... If we do we should all be a bit panicky at that point
