Renewal period is still going on, so it would be tough have marked more seats.

The marked seats are available, but are only a sub-set of total seats within that area that are available.

They're pretty much marked to give a potential ticket purchaser an idea of where they'd be and the associated view.

To me it looked like a lot less markers in place than in years past.

I would agree.  There are at least 12 seats in our area of 113 and none of them were marked.  These seats have been open for years.

I'm sure it was to make ppl think there were less tickets available than there really were. Gotta buy em if there are only a few left!!! :)

Good luck Wooly! I still have my seats right behind you, so there is no getting away!

Should be a better year... can't be worse. Can it?

I'm pretty sure I saw some USF reps up there, showing off YOUR seats to some interested buyers...

No...I can't imagine this year is as painful as the past two have been. The competition may not be the same, but my blood pressure won't be through the roof either.

Oh, and the only game we won't be blocking your view for is SMU, in November. Why? Cause for our 25th Anniversary, the in-laws are footing a week long trip to

scenic Las Vegas, Nevada. I can probably watch the game in the MGM sportsbook, and you know...I may just have to wager on that contest.

Say hey to the Mrs. and we'll see you in a few short months!

It all went to heck in a hand-basket after I left .... just kidding. I was jealous at how few seats were tagged. I remember many nights untagging seats in the 4 th quarter of a Spring game.

The number of seats tagged is just some options of what is available. In the past we would tag every available seat in places like the south endzone and family plan areas, then just samples of everything else.

Remember, we are still before the renewal deadline, so all the seats that eventually won't be renewed (like people who bought just for FSU) are still considered unavailable.

From my best guess, it looked like 250-350 seats tagged. I didn't ask, but hope a bunch were sold on Saturday. When I worked in ticket sales, the difficulty of getting people into the seats to try them out was always a hurdle to overcome. We only had 2 days a year before the season to let people try out available seats. Unlike basketball which could always be done in person. (not a TSA complaint, I certainly could meet perspective ticket buyers at the stadium, but because of the time it would take it usually wasn't worth the time).

On a related seating note, I wonder what the season ticket tally will look like in September...a noticeable drop off from last year....new sales cover the loss?

I can't imagine we'd get a bump in season ticket holders, but that's just my conjecture.

At no fault of those selling the tickets ... I think it has to be down a good bit*

3-9 last year

FSU buyers

Here is what I a scared of. Someone panics and they slash prices in August. Introduce all sorts of new deals that rewards people for not committing or having seats year in and year out. Not saying it will happen, but it certainly could.
