I am not sure how we lived without Twitter before.  It keeps the speculation cycle nice and active.  Hopefully this guy doesn't end up going to UCLA!  :GoBulls:

Sadly, TuxedoYoda has nothing to say about the Trickett Decision.

That idiot hasn't reported anything correctly yet. He can't even get it right a month after something has already happened.

Former Florida State QB Clint Trickett will transfer to West Virginia

Coley Harvey | Orlando Sentinel FSU reporter

10:57 a.m. EDT, May 1, 2013

TALLAHASSEE -- Former Florida State quarterback Clint Trickett will be transferring to West Virginia, according to a source close to Trickett. The redshirt junior is expected to make the official announcement Wednesday afternoon.

Trickett spent three seasons with the Seminoles, playing behind recently drafted quarterbacks Christian Ponder and EJ Manuel. Both Ponder and Manuel were first-round selections. Manuel was taken by the Buffalo Bills in last week's NFL Draft.

Trickett appeared in 16 games for FSU, but only started two. Those two came after Manuel separated a shoulder and was unable to play at the beginning of those contests. The Seminoles lost both games, but Trickett set a career-high in one of them, passing for 336 yards in a five-point loss to Clemson.

West Virginia was one of three schools Trickett was considering after he announced two weeks ago that he was transferring out of FSU. He was part of a four-man position battle during spring football practice. Redshirt freshman Jameis Winston wowed fans during the spring game, and after a 12-for-15, 205-yard, two-touchdown showing, emerged as the apparent winner of the competition battle.

Coach Jimbo Fisher still hasn't announced his starting quarterback for the fall. Winston continues to battle with Jacob Coker and Sean Maguire for the starting job, according to Fisher. None of the three has starting experience at the college level.

Trickett has family in West Virginia. His father, FSU offensive line coach Rick Trickett -- who signed a contract extension earlier this offseason -- is from Morgantown, W.Va. He also began his coaching career there in the late 1970s.

Trickett also took visits Auburn and South Florida before making the decision to transfer to West Virginia.

If true, he sucked anyway and we never wanted him in the first place. :D

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
