Looks like they have their own S&C coach assigned to them. Been there since before the 2009-10 season .... http://www.gousfbulls.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=7700&ATCLID=3753115& ... so that hasn't changed .... other assistants haven't changed since last year, either. Three key variables have changed: Now have a great dedicated practice facility, game venues and players. So if you want to keep whining about the same coaching that produced our best hoops season ever, fine, just know you'll look like a **** fool doing it.

Not whining about the coaching, per se. Whining about the result it's had on the players. We look slow and lazy. Very little off-the-ball movement. Why? and how to fix it?

I'll throw out some other suggestions.

- Could it be that our players let last years success go to their head and they didn't put in the work in the off season?
- Has the injuries of the season finally caught up with the team and their legs are just dead from all the playing time?
- Are the players just still not comfortable being so far out of their normal position?

Don't forget this one...

- Was last year a fluke of scheduling?

I think "very little off-the-ball movement" is an overused misnomer. They're not the most frenetic offense out there but the problem is very little productive off-the-ball movement on a consistent basis. When you see a half like the first one last night, it's pretty obvious they CAN do what it takes with this offense to score but just can't do it regularly enough to put together wins .... You fix it with more consistent players, which includes new ones and current ones getting more experience.

This year's team playing in last year's schedule would not have had anywhere near the same results ...

But what about LAST year's team playing THIS year's schedule? Would they have been appreciably better?

Appreciably better than 1 conference win? IMO, absolutely ... equal to last year's record. Probably not ...... Of course, this all just blind ass conjecture.

We may have a top 20 class in recruiting coming in next year, but if the coach sucks so will the players and our record at this level

Speaking of which, have these players all signed LOI's or are they just commits?
