Taggart stated clearly that he was going to go hard recruiting for the next week and then put his staff together during the dead period. He realizes the importance of just one week of recruiting time. I can't figure out why people keep talking about him coaching in the bowl game. He doesn't work for WKU anymore. He's 100% Bull now. Therefore, he needs to be using his time to make us better, not WKU.

Who here is still talking about him coaching the bowl game?

slick maybe ? :D

According to some tweets, Coach T was as at Jesuit, TC and Plant today. He's brushing his teeth and combing his hair while putting some miles on that bus!

Who????

Newberg is reporting it. It's in super secret mode.

Also saying a former ACC coach will be on the defensive staff. Obviously baiting people to think it's Shannon...

Eh... would be more confident if we already had some new coordinators hired to help out with this, hopefully Taggart is going after BCS level talent and not going after Sun Belt level talent that he was eye balling while at WKU.

Taggart isn't out there alone. He has the current staff of assistants working with him. At least one tweet identified Fitch traveling with him. Scott has clearly been in on the early recruiting.

Oddly enough, I think the coach that has been in the business over a dozen years knows how to handle this.

It must be so awkward for Fitch to continue recruiting guys. He probably knows he's not back, yet is supposedly selling the program. Frankly, I wouldn't trust guys like Smith, Fitch, or Cosh talking to people..

My daughter saw him at Plant today. Said he was sporting USF gear and a huge smile. Sounds like he hit the ground running big time.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
