I think if you want to defend the semantics between Fired and Resigned.....then you are just showing yourself to be a fool. Bill Stewart resigned at WVU.....and we all knew he was fired. You can call it what you want.....it basically means the same thing.

On one side, there's a person yelling I told you so over a statement that was false - Holtz didn't resign, and there are at least 2.5 million reasons why that difference is important. On the other side, there's a person screaming hyperbolic insults over some random message board fodder. Neither sound like winners to me.
