Its going to be a very interesting next couple of weeks, and it will be a huge blow if USF is left out of all this conference reshuffling. However, the worst thing we can all do is abandon the football program. If we ever hope to one day be relevant than our fan base will have to improve. Instead of saying its not worth the time and effort, why not ask what more this university can do to build itself up.

Exactly this. Lame schools have been picked up in this process not because their superior football product, but because bodies are in seats, alumni give, and tvs are on.

THIS is what distinguishes an alignment-worthy school from others. We'll be lucky to be picked up.

The only coaches who would "bleed" the way we, and CJL, do is a former player, possibly former coach returning... You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

He would, hopefully, fall under the umbrella of "bleeders", yes ...

Boise State, TCU, and Utah played non-BCS teams and won... a lot. No reason we cannot do the same if it comes to that. The only thing our program needs to worry about is winning and instilling a winning culture. The rest will take care of itself. If Boise State were relegated back to the MWC when the dust settles, do you feel that they are now irrelevant? I don't.

As far as excitement is concerned, there really hasn't been a conference foe besides WVU that got us excited to play, unless they were ranked. Well Rutgers got us fired up because f*** Rutgers.
