It was good to get the weaknesses on tape for the coaches to know what to work on for sure.

The only thing I recall about the poor perfomance against Elon in 2007 then rising to #2 that year, as it relates to this start is that, if I recall correctly, all the things everyone was concerned about after the first game ultimately came true and became our undoing later in the year and we didn't even finish ranked.

You can say that about all of our seasons...

If we sputter next week at Nevada I'll be concerned but if we **** the bed on yet another Thursday against Rutgers then I'll b worried

A Thursday night game 5 days after flying back from the West Coast, playing what appears to be a pretty good football team .... if we DON'T **** the bed, I'll be amazed.

Maybe it's a good thing everything is stacking up against us there .... "it's always darkest right before the dawn" and all that.

Pretty sure that Youngstown State's Head Coach was a former assistant here.

GA "Penguins have former USF assistant Eric Wolford as head coach."

They also have Tresey there. I yelled at my buddy asking why he couldn't shut down Pitt like this when he was with us...

Come on, I wasn't at all worried about a BS call on an illegal forward pass after Elon... I wasn't at all worried that Johnson, Jackson, and Hester would all get hurt at the same time and Grothe would be throwing to Mitchell (FR), and that WR/QB transfer from Auburn during the Cincy game only to have Mitchell drop the game winning TD.

Those were not the things I was worried about in the Elon game. The injuries are what they are, we didn't have depth, but at that point in our history, it wasn't possible to have depth.

Beyond that... if you told me we'd get to 9 wins this season... after what I saw last night... I'd take it.
