I like the Heath move though. I've said for years that the basketball coaching carousel needed to stop and let one guy get entrenched in the job. Big gamble here. If he wins the BE in dominating fashion then it was worth it. Otherwise we should be loking for a new coahc anyway and at that kind of money there would be alot avaiable. Did his assitant pool also get an increase ? even if he wins the BE it would not be worth it. like you said a million dollar buyout is nothing to a big program. we are essentially locking him into a long term deal that USF could not afford to buyout and all we get in return is a million dollar buyout that any top 40 program would pay in an instant.
