I just hope they don't draw the short stick on this, because they are are most successful program right now. Couldn't they put them where our old football practice fields are? Better facilities just helps us to sell our program and we do lose several practice days a year to lighting alone. Great next step

Yes they are... and that is where this facility is slated to be built. My guess is that they move the soccer practice field to the far north end of the FB Practice fields... or they reorganize the existing basketball courts and move it over there... there's also a large grassy area between the football fields and track stadium that could be usable space. Soccer can always practice on the pitch within USF Track Stadium

When I was a kid, it seemed like the entire campus was a one big sand spur "field". Now there are several new athletics, dorms, educational buildings, and of course the new Marshall Center. It's almost as if it's a "real" campus now. All kidding aside, the campus has changed so much since the mid 80's it's hardly recognizable. Even though I wasn't able to attend USF, I'm proud of what we as a community have as our university. With UCF being the only state school having one (an average one at that) this is our chance to really gain some recruiting ground on UF, F$U, and scUM. Hopefully this gets done in less than 3 years. If the actualy facility looks like the renderings, that will be quite a facility. Good location too.
