A win tomorrow against Marquette would put USF at 3-3 against teams in Lunardi's latest bracketology. If that happened, would it lift the Bulls up near the bubble?

I think 6 mores wins gets us in the dance; Lunardi says we are a lock at 12-6.

Right now our RPI, according to CBS, is #77. MU is RPI #11. So, it would help a great deal to beat them. To be on the NCAA bubble, our RPI would probably need to be around #50.

As most long time followers know I think Stan is the man to take this program where we all want it to be. But we need to be a little more realistic regarding our conference record. Most of our wins are against very weak teams. IF we can get to 12-6 and 2 wins in the BE Tourney we can start to think NCAA's

7-4 the rest of the way for an NCAAT birth?

We're only going to win 1 of the last 3 probably (UC, UL, WVU). [1]

It's hard to believe we'll sweep Nova/Pitt but I think we'll go 2-2 overall against them both. [2]

No way we beat Cuse or Georgetown. [0]

We can sweep Providence. [2]

Marquette...maybe if we were at home. [0]

5 wins. We might get upset, or pull and upset to even it out. 7 wins is tough. It's too bad we started so poorly OOC.

You guys are setting yourselves up to be disappointed.

Stan is not the man. But you can thinking that. He last here forever because of patches of success, but it will never be long lived. And by Success I mean 1st round tournament loss. This guy can't coach any better that that.

This is reality.

Winnable games down the stretch:

Providence

Pitt

@ Providence

Villinova

@ Pitt

Loseable games down the stretch:

@ Marquette

@ Georgetown

@ Syracuse

Cincinatti

@ Louisville

West Virginia

The winnable games include both Pitt games, which is a bit of a stretch to me, but I included them. Yeah, we're a lock at 12-6 in the Big East. The chances of that happening are infinitesimal.

We'll be lucky to get four out of the winnable games column. We could possible steal one out of the losable game column, but anything more than that would be a miracle.

If we beat Marquette tomorrow, maybe I'll start seeing the light, but I'd take Marquette (-10.5) right now...
