Did anyone watch the 7A title game Friday night? Manatee's QB Cord Sandberg is only a junior but he's 6'3" and is being compared with Tebow and Cam Newton. The guy carved up a previously undefeated team from Jacksonville First Coast High. Have we repaired our relations with Joe Kinnan and MHS? I'd like to see Sandberg in green and gold in 2013. By the way, his uncle is Ryne Sandberg, the former Cubs 2nd baseman.

My wife would never miss a game knowing he's related to Ryne Sandberg.

I believe kinnan has come out and said everything is okay between him and the staff.

Is it time to look at Cord again.  Looks   talented also could help in baseball program also. Offer him both sports?

I can  understand --don't fully understand how this athlete was over looked..time to kiss and make him a Bull..

From Bradenton Herald

Those days were special, including this year, when Sandberg accrued 2,674 passing yards, 34 passing touchdowns and one interception in 265 attempts to go along with 611 rushing yards, 10 rushing touchdowns and one interception in 265 attempts.

I seem to recall something about him playing baseball, not football, and possibly being drafted in the MLB draft. I think that's why he's not an option.

Correct. Has a good chance of being a high draft pick. Hard to pass up the signing bonus $$$

I believe he could be an option.. College baseball players do much better signing  after college than out of high school.

I believe he has the talent to do both.  It's a win-win.  He can play footbal develop and play baseball develop.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
