Fedora is going to UNC, Kansas just hired Weis. Was he a candidate for any other jobs?

Not that I'm happy with the way this year went, but losing Skip for 2012 would have been a disaster.

Very glad he's staying. Let's build a strong recruiting class and hope for the best next year.

I lost a lot of my faith in Holtz this year, but he deserves 3-4 years. Though, if he goes 5-7 again next year that may be off the table.

Good way of putting it...

I can't believe Holtz hasn't fired any assistants yet. Looks like more of the same next year. We'll be lucky if we win 6 games next year.

And this surprises you. He is joined at the hip with most of them.

Good that gets his outta here quicker. He needs to go with a more Oklahoma State style offense, but also have Stanford running principles. If he really wants to use your talent that is the way to go.

Its infuriating because he talks about how the team didn't learn from their mistakes, then doesn't hold the coaches accountable. There is no accountability with this team. Poor head coaching right there.

If he's smart, he won't fire anyone until after signing day. All of those assistants have been building relationships over the last 2 years, get kids signed, then do what you have to do. Also, who are you going to hire? Hopefully not someone from a team who's sitting home like us during bowl season. Wait it out, there are a lot of good assistants out there.

Exactly how I feel.
