This team has no qb once that's fixed you will see much better offense.

this teams QB is ranked #16 in total offense in the country.

I guess holtz needs a NFL ready first round pick in order to compete in big east?? lame excuses

lol if you think Bj is number 16 qb he is terrible

I don't think he is i know he is. look at the stats.

when you hire anew coach and pay him more you expect better results.

do you think we should just accept the same results?

We are paying Holtz less than we were paying Leavitt, the extra money went to the assistant coaches pool.

we are paying Holtz $1.8M this year. more than leavitt ever made in a year.

Could you imagine where Oklahoma State would be if they sacked mike Gundy after his first two crappy seasons replacing Les Miles? They've now got the best team in school history.

What about Clemson with Dabo? Or West Virginia with Rich Rod.

I'm not saying Holtz isn't at fault and/or there are no issues. I'm saying it's foolish to can the coach now, cause it is.

Singletary.

we need to find a Harbaugh.

I've never seen a coach do less with more talent in my life.

I really have to ask. Why does everyone on here think we have the talent to beat every team in the country?

Our average recruiting class is in the 50s. Every year Miami signs several players we have offered scholarships. In return, we get one or two that Miami has offered a scholarship to.

The reality is that the coaching staff has done a tremendous job if we lose by three points to a Miami, their talent is far superior to ours.

Could you please explain why you think we have such great talent, other than green and gold goggles?

you base talent evaluation on rivals. right there is your problem.

I think we have enough talent and enough experience on this team to be in the top half of the freaking big east at least.

Exactly. We've had 4-5 loss seasons the last few years, not 2 loss seasons you'd believe from some people's comments...

of course i don't think you can fire him now. doesn't mean i wouldn't mind him leaving for UNC.

you pick 3 that worked. how about the hundreds that didn't?

What's the over/under on Bull94 finding new ways to hate on Holtz. For those that say we've never finished last in the BE. If your not the lead dog, the view never changes. For those of you that speak of players de-committing, leavitt never had the problem of our conference possibly going away. Fire Holtz, hire new coach, fire in 2 years, wash rinse repeat. A coach needs AT LEAST 3 years to get his team. Yes, I posted the same thing last night, and will continue to do so until people stop the idiocy of we'd be better without Holtz.

BJ's stats are definitely inflated by playing Ball State, FAMU, UTEP etc. I don't think he is as awful as lots of people think he is, but he is not a top 16 qb either. BJ is a running back or wr stuck at qb. Maybe one day we will get a pocket passer.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
