Who in the AP should be ahead of us?  Maybe Georgia Tech, who hung 60 on a bad big 12 team.  But who else?  Texas who got taken to the wire by BYU?

According to Massey we are 15.

High ranking is 6 from the Roundtable.

A low of 38 from Doktor Entropy.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I'm curious as to why you would say that? Outside of LSU, most teams still haven't played enough games to get a good bead on all of their strengths and weaknesses. I agree you can point out the teams we have put good numbers up against, but none of our decent teams in recent history have been able to put up numbers like that against the teams we were supposed to beat. You can also question the defense based on how UTEP moved the ball, but we're talking about being ranked #15-20 (IMO that means you have weaknesses, but are still pretty good). If the weaknesses we have been talking about up to this point weren't being seen, this would be a legit top 10 team IMO.

Last night, Stephen Garcia threw 4 picks, Marcus Lattimore had <100 yards, the offense was dead in general, and yet we still not only rose in the poll, but are now #10, and I'm relatively certain USF could beat South Carolina on a neutral field.

It just goes to show, rankings shouldn't even exist before week 6 or 7.

West Virginia took a bigger hit than I expected. The Big East looks pretty weak, not a single team in the top 15.

I think we're right where we should be in the 15-20 area.
