Slap on the wrist, no surprise. The NCAA is full of incompetent, inconsistent, douchebags.

You guys really are dumb. I told you.

I lol'd at these suspensions. We didnt even deserve suspensions honestly, but the ncaa had to do something because the media made this isnt such a huge deal.

At the end of the day, UM is the victum here.

We have everyone but the media and espn on our side, incuding the FBI. We have some screwball jerkbag that makes a ton of false accusations at the expense of our school's image.

Where are the hundreds of thousands of dollars or millions of dollars Shapiro claims to have given to players? Over 5 months of investigation from the ncaa and little to no proof is found BECAUSE IT WAS ALL LIES.

What's next? UM has fired counsel and will sue yahoo sports for damages.

Is this the final? Nothing on the university itself ... or coaches?

No... this is just for those current players... the real hammer is going to come down on the program. Notice in the release that it specifies that the benefits not only came from the booster.... but from Athletics employees at UM. That's a big deal.

You ******* idiot... this was only for the current 8 players that UM had suspended this week.

The penalty to the actual program hasn't been handed down yet... and won't be till most likely after this season. You're not really this stupid are you?

The NCAA doesn't announce investigations unless they already have proven allegations.

The players such as Marve and others that were named but are not currently enrolled at UM have already made deals for their testimony... that's why they were cleared you imbecile.

The Yahoo report had corroborated photos and receipts documenting the illegal benefits. Also, the player interviewed for the article... you know, the one that then tried to deny it??? Yeah... THEY HAVE THE **** INTERVIEW ON TAPE. Still not clear how you can deny what's on audio tape.

UM isn't going to sue anyone... Yahoo had their facts checked before the article ran... and the NCAA has already been investigating it for over 5 months.

You're a tool and an idiot.... it sucks that your program played with fire and got caught (Not really but I'm trying to hold on to some sense of humanity about you idiots) but for God sakes, stop looking like an idiot and take it like a man. ::)

Stop watching espn. They're clueless. Marve was quoted as saying he was never contacted by the ncaa during the whole invetigation, as were other former players. Charles Robinson went on the air and falsely claimed that. It's a lie.

Also, Robinson CLAIMS to have an audio tape BUT HAS YET TO PROVIDE IT. Know why? BECAUSE HE DOESNT HAVE ONE. Th ncaa, the miami herald, as other sources have asked for it and yahoo has been unable toprovide it because it doesnt exist. Robinson is just as much a liar as Shapiro.  And stop listening to espn.

Learn to use the the quote function.... then graduate to punctuation and complete sentances... one of these days you might graduate high school.  ::)

The NCAA has already said that they've cut deals for conditional immunity with the players that were involved but were not at Miami... ie Marve and the others at UF and such. Did it not occur to you why they were cleared eligible so quickly??

I don't even watch ESPN... but I do follow NCAA official releases... like the one this afternoon that specifically said that employees in the UM Athletic dept are now connected to the illegal benefits investigation.

72 former Miami Hurricanes to get subpoenaed

http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/31627252?ttag=gen10_on_all_fb_na_txt_0001

Here's the meat of the issue and how things just got a lot worse for Miami....

"It's about to get way worse, though, because the 72 named players in the report will be subpoenaed by the bankruptcy trustee in the Shapiro case, Joel Tabas, and requested to pay back the money that they reportedly received from Shapiro at Miami.

"They can't ignore it — it's a subpoena issued by a bankruptcy court," Tabas' attorney Gary Freedman said, per the Miami Herald. "If they ignore it, we will seek an order from the court to compel them to respond. If they don't respond, they will face a contempt order."

Now, things are absolutely going to get escalated for Miami's football program very quickly, as those players, if they answer the subpoena and pay back anything they received, will have admitted to a violation. (More or less anyway.) That's a potential death knell for Miami's football program.

It'll also be awkward for the players, many of whom are currently employed by NFL teams. For starters, they will either a) not answer the subpoena and face legal charges of contempt, B) answer the subpoena and provide information that they received no benefits, c) answer the subpoena and provide misinformation that they received no benefits and face perjury charges or d) answer the subpoena, provide information that they received benefits and admit to committing an NCAA violation.

"I am asking them to fill out an affidavit," Freedman said. "If an athlete gives misinformation, it would be considered perjury."'

Marve was quoted WHERE? Do YOU have evidence to back ANY of these demented ramblings up?

There was a quote... It happened the day the report ran on Yahoo. It was the same blah blah blah that the other 71 players... Including the 8 current players... Said that day. Since that time, the NCAA has cut a deal with Marve so can stay eligible and he's not talking at all to the media.
