Guest nybullsfan
Won't be Nova, IMO. They've looked at it before and concluded they can't make it work. Their situation hasn't significantly changed, even though they won an FCS title. Also, no way the catholic basketball schools let themselves get outvoted. At least one of the new schools will be catholic.Since they're only going for 2 schools, I predict TCU and Boston College. boston college wouldn't give up all the millions to move back. When you add the football and basketball revenue, and the BE Network soon to come, I'm guessing it will be more than the ACC over the next 10 years. BC left a very different BE than they'd be coming back to.Side Note: don't forget that Tranghese is still a consultant at Memphis - they're going to get a very close look. AtlantaBullXV Posted November 2, 2010 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 5 Reputation: 0 Days Won: 0 Joined: 10/17/2010 Share Posted November 2, 2010 1) ECU - best overall candidate in terms of fan base, tradition, and program2) Nova - already in the Big East but will need to build a fan base3) TCU - would jump to another conference in a heartbeat if the conference met its geographic footprint4) Temple - already was a member maybe a second try5) Houston - if people in your own city call you Whooston, then that is a major problemI left UCF off this list for various reasons: 1) it would actually hurt our recruiting, 2) they cannot get 40,000 people in their stadium, 3) they have never won a bowl, 4) it would be much like the ACC with Miami and FSU = mediocrity, having two teams in the same state really does more harm than good unless you are in Alabama, Texas, or California and most of those schools are spread out over hundreds of miles and UCF is just down the road. My guess is Nova is out of the picture. It will be one of these four TCU, Houston, UCF, and Memphis

But that's just my opinion.
