TCU gives us the Dallas Market? Doubt it..... That is Longhorn Country

Vill or Temple gives us the Phila market?..... That is Eagle Country

Does UCiF give us Mickey Town? ............  Possibly

I say:

North:

Cinn

Pitt

Iowa State or TCU or Baylor

K-State

Kansas

Mizzou

East

USF

L'ville

WVU

Syracuse

UConn

Rutgers

Fortune favors the Brave...... Why settle for crumbs? Let us go a BCS raiding......

As I understand it, and please someone correct me if I'm wrong, it boils down to number cable subscribers in a market, not number of people that actually watch the games.  This assuming we try to start a Big East network, which seems to be the way these things are going.

Both pieces would be looked at. The higher your ratings the more willing advertisers are to spend money on your network... The more subscribers the more people you can charge a subscription fee.

Looking at both of those pieces (and all of the other pieces) certainly TCU is the first choice?  After that the choice gets much less obvious.  When you consider market size, overlap with current markets, recruiting, potential for success, basketball, academics, etc. you can make a case for any of the teams that have been mentioned recently.  This will be interesting. My prediction is this: much screeching and gnashing of teeth after it's over.

TCU is probably in. Nova will be in pending their decision to do it now or wait till 2014 when they will be added. If Nova waits UCF gets in.

Won't be Nova, IMO. They've looked at it before and concluded they can't make it work. Their situation hasn't significantly changed, even though they won an FCS title.

Also, no way the catholic basketball schools let themselves get outvoted. At least one of the new schools will be catholic.

Since they're only going for 2 schools, I predict TCU and Boston College.

In my opinion you'll see the Big East add UCF and either Villanova or TCU - Joe Schad

It should be TCU and UCF if we stop at 10.  Add Houston and Memphis if 12.

Why not speak with the Big 12 schools. the Big East has "equal" revenue sharing and with the addition of the BE Network would be financially capable of competing with the "unequal" revenue sharing of the Big 12.

What a coup Mizzou & KU would be. Then add TCU for Dallas and possibly K-State to make KU happy........

Think Big........

Memphis, UCif, Houston or EZU.... that is small time thinking

This, I think the candidates are in this order

1) Nova

2) TCU

3) UCF

4) Houston

Nova prob won't be ready till 14 so they're going to go with UCF & TCU in 2012 and Nova & Houston in 2014...

I'd be okay with that.
