... What does that mean for BJ?

This will be a transition year and Daniels quit basketball to concentrate MORE on playing QB for Holtz.

I think it actually opens the door for Landi coming back for QB also in 2010.

I stand corrected this kid has some speed and moves

It's a tough call, but Holtz just needs to explain that we are moving away from this style QB(it seems with the GA offer to the Drop Back Passer). It is better for Carnes if he wants to stay at QB in college.

Our recruiting base has widened.

Go BULLS !!!

I got that feeling too about moving to a more traditional QB. What does that mean for BJ?

He'll have to be the best QB in the program to start, but how many times have we heard he doesn't like to run anyway. This may be a great thing for him after all.

BTW GO BULLS!!!

But no arm.  That slow, high reach back release is a nightmare for coaches to correct.  He threw for like 44% completion percentage as a senior...that spells eventual change.  Virgin threw for 45% and he's a TE now, Gachette threw for close to 47% and he was a great safety, BJ and Matt each threw for at or above 60% as seniors....it makes a difference.

They'll give him a shot, and if not move him...I would rather move him now though-- darn you Carnes-- because he's a nice looking jumbo athlete.  Didn't shy from contact in those vids like Virgin tended to do.

BJ would do fine in a pro style offense.

and Carnes wont be a big loss.

His coach is acting like a little baby.

Obviously Skip doesnt pull the scholarship just because Carnes wasnt that solid...he pulled it because he wants to use it on someone who will be a better fit and contribute more.

he probably already knows who that player is.

I laughed my ass off when his coach said that this was the first time a program has pulled a scholarship from one of his players. It happens alot when players open up their recruiting and the program has other options. This coach is a joke. :ROFLMAO

I dont know where yall are getting we are transitioning to a traditional qb. They ran a spread offense as well at ecu and had a mobile qb. We wont see a school in florida not have a qb that can run. Florida doesnt even play traditional football anymore. USF will always have a mobile qb.

Kinnan is during the Bulls a huge favor. As we know, teens do totally the opposite of whats told of them.

Like someone said it is one thing for our prized recruit to take a trip to Nebraska. Western Kentucky, not so much.

You wanna play we can play.
