Interesting..

"Closing the dining hall is the beginning of a long-term renovation project, which Assistant Vice President for USF Campus Business Services Jeff Mack said will include removing and adding new buildings, dining and retail establishments. The project, however, is still in early planning stages at the university."

Sounds like that dorm/retail complex with a potential Publix that I've been hearing about might be coming along nicely in the planning stage.

Been in the "upcoming planning stages" for a while now.

The plan is to dramatically increase student resident population on-campus.  Plans were originally more housings like Magnolia, but that has changed. Towers such as J-Pop (never thought/heard of that term before reading it hear) as will be more common.

Glad to see it finally coming around.   I applaud USF for aggressively pursuing AAU acceptance. Resident student percentage is one aspect we trail on, hence USF's recent push for more student housing.

Serious question here. WTF does Japanese Pop Music (J-Pop) have to do with USF dorms?

Thank you. Never saw that coming.

USF's really becoming a residential school isn't it? No more Drive Thru U reputation?

It doesn't hurt that its mandatory freshman live on campus.

Even for students over traditional age? That seems weird.
