It became a ridiculous price when they are selling them for $10. Why not sell them for $20-$25 and sell out rather than asking some fans to pay 3.5 times the price that other fans are paying? Even if they were all $35, the fans paying that price wouldnt feel like they were getting ripped off if thats how much it costs to go to the game; but if I paid $30 yesterday and now $10 tickets are available I'd be pissed.

The $10 upper deck seats or in the corners. The $35.00 are mid field. Those are awesome seats.  My buddy has Bucs season tickets midfield in the upper deck and the view is perfect.  You aren't comparing apples to apples.  The $10 seats are no way comparable to the $35 seats.

Great!  Promote, promote, promote, sell, sell, sell NOW!  I am afraid a good walk-up crowd will not materialize given the weather forecast for tomorrow afternoon.

The West 300 level is open for $35 per seat; thats ridiculous; how are they going to try to sell out with those prices. Tickets aren't usually that expensive are they?

Yes they are.

Why do people think you should be able to walk-up and get into a Bulls game for $10 on a regular basis? We're still one of the cheapest tickets in college football I would imagine. My tix to FSU were 70+ rows up in the endzone and were $50. I guarantee you that the 300 level tix in Ray Jay are better seats. Why should USF have dirt cheap prices?

Maybe I am wrong, I just don't see what is so "ridiculous" about it. Again, to open up another section of the stadium costs USF some pretty big money I think. They can't just open it up and take a loss by selling dirt cheap tickets. The $10 promotion was just that, for a limited number of seats. If you missed it, you have to pay full price.

Unfortunately I don't think many realize that $35 is cheap.

Doing just a quick look on ticketmaster at other colleges for their cheapest seats:

Colorado   $50

Oregon    $55 ($29 Standing Room Only)

Purdue    $50 (for a game against Indiana.....blah)

South Carolina $42

Mich State  $49

There is a much higher demand for FSU tickets than there are for USF tickets obviously. FSU probably sells out every game. $35 is a lot for the upper bowl; especially when other people are getting them for $10. I would at least think that the 300 level would be less expensive than the 200 level. That seems like common sense.

Fsu hardly ever sells out a game they are lucky if they get 30,000 in the stands.

no way that can be a serious comment. the seems like a gross underestimation. Yes that was their first sell out since 05, but no chance is their average attendance anywhere near that low

I am shocked that they don't sell out for the Miami and Florida games every other year. Thats amazing to me. If they don't sell out for those games, then 30,000 would probably be about right.

No I believe it is true.

-Florida averages a greater attendance at their pep rallies (69,000) than fsu does for their home games (60,000)

I stand corrected but there has to be some games that only 30,000 show up because that 60,000 is the average.

Not that this is an FSU thread but for J-Ville State the announced attendance was about 71,000 and some change. That was the lowest attended game since the stadium expansion. So clearly, FSU can expect their numbers to dwindle with all of the losses but they have been averaging over 70,000 for some time now. Their stadium holds roughly 82,000 thus they have been complaining about their "weak" attendance. We would take their average attendance in our dreams.
